For all waste activities, the Bahnbau Group companies fulfil the legally required conditions. They are authorized specialist waste disposal companies and members of the "Entsorgergemeinschaft Transport und Umwelt e.V." ("Transport and Environment Disposal Company Association").

In the area of construction site disposal, the Bahnbau Group companies recycle or recondition

• concrete and timber sleepers,
• track panels including fastenings, and
• railway ballast.

These services are provided by the comanies DB Bahnbau GmbH, DBG GmbH and DGT GmbH.
