The reconditioning of bridge sleepers
Überspringen: The reconditioning of bridge sleepersThe Bahnbau Group has the requisite specialist knowledge and provides professional advice and services for the evaluation, reprocessing and reinstallation of bridge sleepers.
High precision is the key when fitting a bridge with bridge sleepers because no two bridge sleepers are alike. To allow us to meet our customers’ needs directly, bridge sleepers are carefully sorted and secured and then stored as either standard or non-standard elements that are ready for impregnation in accordance with the technical specifications. This careful preparatory phase ensures that only fault-free sleepers are laid.
The construction manager is available for advice from the initial planning phase on. Preliminary measuring surveys are carried out to determine the state of the track on the bridge and the condition of the sleepers is assessed. Based on the desired position of the new track, we then determine for each sleeper the distance from the proposed track centre line to the two track bearer edges.
Using these reference measurements, the new bridge sleepers are then reconditioned in a CNC planing machine. This allows the sleepers to be prepared for installation in an environmentally benign process that is fully compliant with site regulations. The precision machined sleepers are then impregnated in a controlled procedure and transferred to the construction site for installation. As a result, complicated re-working at the construction site is no longer necessary.
