The range of services provided by Bahnbau Group includes the most advanced track tamping and universal tamping machines available. The company also has the measuring systems required for precise calibration of the track panel.

CSM 09-3X Dynamic Tamping Express

  • Quantity: 1 (DGT)
  • Continuous action 3-sleeper tamping for full-track maintenance and tamping of new track.
  • Split-head tamping units ensure trouble-free tamping even in the event of irregularly spaced sleepers.
  • Combined roller lifting and lining units to perform lifting and lining operations in a single working pass.
  • The machine is equipped with a proportional parallel levelling system and single chord three-point alignment system.
  • Laser measurements determine the precise alignment and level of the track.
  • The stabiliser attached at the rear provides dynamic stabilisation of the track after tamping has been completed. The need for a speed restriction is eliminated, and the excellent quality of the track geometry extends the interval to the next corrective track maintenance operation significantly.
  • Production rate:
    - for full track maintenance: to max. 1,200 m/h
    - compaction pass: 500 m/h
    - stabilisation: 1st to max. 600 m/h; 2nd to max. 700 m/h.

Unimat 09 - 16 4 S and 09-32 4S universal tamping machines

  • Quantity: 4 (DGT:  3/ DBG: 1)
  • The universal tamping machines can operate continuously to provide full track maintenance extending far into the switch area.
  • Corrective switch maintenance is performed with three-rail lifting and four-rail tamping.
  • Each of the outer tamping units is provided with an telescopic arm, allowing it to be used for tamping under the fourth rail.
  • Production rate:
    - for full track maintenance: to max. 450 m/h
    - for full switch maintenance: to max. 10 switch units/shift. 

EM-Sat/EM-Sat 120 track survey cars

  • Quantity: 3 (DGT: 1 / DBG: 2)
  • Mechanised track surveying for full track maintenance and renewals.
  • Recording of long-wave track geometry faults with EM-Sat; absolutely precise measurement of the track geometry using a fixed point measuring unit.
  • Track correction data are made available for tamping on disk.
  • Production rate:
    - for radii < 2,500 m: 1,600 m/h
    - for radii 2,500 - 5,000 m: 2,100 m/h
    - for radii > 5,000 m: 2,400 m/h.

Bahnbau Group has a total of over 18 tamping machines available, including 8 CSM 09-32 Dynamic Tamping Express machines and various Unimat universal tamping machines, plus the DGS 62 N dynamic stabiliser.
